لَنۡ تَنَالُوا الۡبِرَّ حَتّٰی تُنۡفِقُوۡا مِمَّا تُحِبُّوۡنَ ۬ؕ وَمَا تُنۡفِقُوۡا مِنۡ شَیۡءٍ فَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ بِہٖ عَلِیۡمٌ ﴿

“Never shall you attain to righteousness unless you spend out of that which you love; and whatever you spend, Allah surely knows it well.”

تم ہرگز نیکی کو پا نہیں سکو گے یہاں تک کہ تم اُن چیزوں میں سے خرچ کرو جن سے تم محبت کرتے ہو۔ اور تم جو کچھ بھی خرچ کرتے ہو تو یقیناً اللہ اس کو خوب جانتا ہے۔

Surah Aal-e-‘Imran, Verse 93

As per the Lajna Constitution

110.  It shall be the responsibility of Secretary Tahrik Jadid and Waqf Jadid to give wide publicity to the aims and objectives of Tahrik Jadid and Waqf Jadid amongst Lajna members.

111. It shall be the duty of Secretary Tahrik Jadid and Waqf Jadid to enrol maximum number of Ahmadi ladies as contributors to these two schemes viz. Tahrik Jadid and Waqf Jadid. She shall exhort Ahmadi ladies to make maximum financial sacrifices towards both the schemes.

112. Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (ra) had kindly assigned the responsibility of Daftar III Tahrike Jadid to Lajna Imaillah. Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (ra), when entrusting the responsibility of Dafter III to Lajna Imaillah, he stated on 5 November 1982: “I entrust this work to Lajna. The experience of Lajna’s work is that whatever task they give their attention to, they try their best to put the men to shame and leave them behind and sometimes they succeed in this.”

How was Waqf Jadid established?

Waqf Jadid was launched to spread Islam and Ahmadiyyat in the remote areas of Pakistan, especially in the province of Sindh. Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II (ra) called for funds, as well as men with sound religious knowledge to volunteer their time for this noble cause. Initially, a small number of volunteers were trained for a few months as teachers (Muallemeen) under the direct supervision of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih (ra). As years passed, the number of volunteers increased, and then a proper training system was established. Initially, this scheme was launched to fulfil the needs of remote areas in Pakistan. Gradually, this was expanded to Africa and India. After migrating to the UK, in 1985 Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh) made this scheme worldwide.

What is the Waqf Jadid Scheme?

The Waqf Jadid Scheme was launched in 1957 by the second Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad (ra). It primarily focuses on:

Spiritual and Moral Training

Providing educational and training facilities to members to enhance their spiritual and moral growth.

Propagation of Islam

Promoting the peaceful teachings of Islam to remote and rural areas through various programs and activities.

Support for Missionaries

Financially assisting missionaries and religious teachers who dedicate their lives to spreading the message of Islam.

Educational Initiatives

Establishing schools, educational centers, and libraries in underserved areas to provide quality education to children and adults.

Through these efforts, the Waqf Jadid scheme aims to uplift communities and foster a deep understanding of Islamic values and principles among its members. It is a testament to the commitment of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to education, spiritual growth, and the peaceful propagation of Islam.
